De VerkeersInformatieDienst (VID) is one of the lading traffic information providers in the Netherlands, using data collected by Road Authorities but also using data generated by VID’s own data collection network. It’s the only privately operated road side data gathering network in the Netherlands, giving VID’s information quality a big advantage.

Much of the data processing is fully automated, but in certain data types the dispatching centre plays a vital role. The dispatching centre also provides traffic information bulletins to major Dutch radio and televisionbroadcasters, in audio as well as in video. Data is also provided to other websites, RDS-TMC-channels, newspapers, videotext and mobile applications.

Apart from processing and delivering traffic information, VID also has ready to use services aimed at road authorities. These Dynamic Traffic Management services help the authorites deal with loss of capacity or extra traffic volumes in case of road work and events.

Be-Mobile's local Service(s)

1. RDS TMC Navigation

Be-Mobile will be supplying RDS TMC service in the whole of The Netherlands through our broadcasting partner Q-Music. Next to Q-Music, Be-Mobile will be extending its coverage through cooperation with Radio 2 and 3 of the public radio network. We expect this to be effective end of November 2010.

2. Connected Navigation

Be-Mobile will be supplying traffic information over a connected technology to portable navigation devices or in-car. Additional to the basic RDS TMC traffic info, Be-Mobile is supplying Fuel, Parking and public transport information to certain navigation manufacturers.
