TMC is a standard format for transmitting real-time traffic info via RDS, a sub-carrier of FM radio. In Belgium, the Be-TMC data is transmitted over the FM networks of StuBru (Flanders) and Classic21 (Wallonia), the 2 strongest and largest FM networks in Belgium.
The Be-Mobile data is decoded by the satellite navigation system and translated into text or speech traffic alerts. By combining our high quality traffic information with the re-routing facilities offered by the satellite navigation system drivers are able to avoid traffic congestion.
